Today we also saw our first of the Thompson's Gazelle and the Cape Buffalo (2) (3). After that, we saw three white rhino. These animals are endangered and very rare to see -- there are only 500 left in all of Kenya. That filled up my compact flash card, so I wasn't able to take digital pictures of the lions or baboons...
We then headed into the city of Nakuru, where I was able to check my e-mail from an Internet Cafe for only 5 Kenya shillings per minute (about 7 cents). They had a half-dozen computers sharing what seemed like a 2400 baud modem, but it was a cool experience. Back at camp, I downloaded the CF card.
In the afternoon, we took a hike up a 500 ft. high cliff to watch the sunset (2) (3) and I also played around with another QTVR panorama.
